In March 2025, IB Nordhorn and TÜV NORD celebrated a topping-out ceremony in Essen. The new German headquarters for the Atlas Copco Group, as well as the „Kita am Technologiepark“ daycare center for operator Kinderhut, are being built on the TÜV NORD GROUP premises. IB Nordhorn is responsible for the planning and implementation of the building's technical equipment for these forward-looking structures.
The award-winning projects set benchmarks in sustainability and energy efficiency. The Atlas Copco headquarters for 350 employees impresses with its light-filled architecture and modern multi-space concepts with flexible collaboration areas. The daycare center at the technology park, designed for 60 children in four groups, features a nature-oriented experiential garden and its own large kitchen.
Photovoltaic systems will be used on the roofs for sustainable energy generation and reduction of the CO₂ footprint. Nearly 500 hybrid ceiling sails with integrated lighting for ventilation, heating, and cooling will ensure a pleasant indoor climate, optimized air distribution, and also enable special air conditioning solutions for specific requirements, such as in laboratory areas. Modern security solutions, such as intrusion detection systems and flexible access controls, ensure protection and entry control according to tenant wishes.
Dr. Fabian Fechner was impressed: „We’re looking forward to seeing how construction progresses! The RWTÜV Group is proud that IB Nordhorn is participating in such a prestigious project as a partner for future-proof and sustainable building technology.“.
