The association and its areas of responsibility are growing

Throughout the 20th century, new areas of inspection were steadily added, and in 1938 the organization merged with other inspection associations and was restructured to become TÜV Essen e.V. Anyone seeking an independent assessment of their offerings—whether systems, products, or services—that was recognized globally as a seal of quality could find it at TÜV.
