RWTÜV subsidiary CONSULECTRA GmbH acquired shares in the Brandenburg startup critisLAB Schulung und Training GmbH on September 1, 2022.
Torsten Brinker, Managing Director of CONSULECTRA GmbH, expects further growth for both companies through the investment: „We are partners and serve similar customer segments with different services. While CONSULECTRA is one of the leading service providers in the implementation of network control technology and IT systems, planning and engineering of energy facilities, IT security for KRITIS infrastructures, e-mobility, and generation plants and heating systems in the energy industry, critisLAB offers training and instruction for power grid operators as well as a unique grid operator assessment center. critisLAB advises operators of critical infrastructures such as gas and power grid operators, as well as transport companies, airports, or power plant operators with consulting services in the areas of corporate protection and crisis management.
„The critisLAB team led by Dr. Bernd Benser developed a comprehensive offering in a very short time, despite the restrictions caused by the pandemic, and quickly earned an excellent reputation in the industry,“ explains Brinker. Contract partner Benser shares a similar view: „With CONSULECTRA, we are gaining a partner that enjoys the highest reputation in the industry, understands it exceptionally well, and identifies and sets trends. Furthermore, as a 100% subsidiary of RWTÜV, CONSULECTRA is naturally interested in standardization. Here, we are working together with network operators on various projects to standardize training and continuing education for the industry. It’s an absolute win-win relationship.“
The parent company RWTÜV also evaluates the partnership positively. „We are very pleased that CONSULECTRA is expanding an existing cooperation by participating in critisLAB, through which we can offer our customers an even more comprehensive service package, especially in the KRITIS environment. Both offerings complement each other perfectly,“ says Fabian Fechner, Deputy CEO of RWTÜV, with delight.
