After the submission deadline on October 22, 2023, a community vote was held on all proposals submitted by the workforce; on November 10, the Group’s Innovation Advisory Board met at the RWTÜV#Innovation.Network 2023 at the Group’s headquarters in Essen.
Present in person and invited were Reinhard Willfort, Director of Research, Development & Innovation at ISN – Innovation Service Network, Prof. Dr. Barbara Albert, President of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hansgeorg Balthaus, former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of RWTÜV e. V., Dr. Rainer Baumgart, former CEO of secunet AG, Benjamin and Christopher Hill, founders and managing directors of the Siegen-based software manufacturer ensun GmbH, and Jens Koralewski from the PR agency korakom. The following dialed in online: Innovations Manager Sebastian Trost from RWTÜV subsidiary ENOPLAN and Dr. Bianca Schmitz from ESMT Berlin.
After a brief introduction of the ISN by Reinhard Willfort, whose company accompanied the innovation process at RWTÜV, the managing directors Thomas Biedermann and Fabian Fechner presented the most promising submissions to those present. These submissions had been excellently pre-sorted and prepared by RWTÜV apprentice Jana Riedel and working students Olivia Grytzek and Benjamin Windau.
Many of the presented ideas sustainably enthused the committee. Excellent market knowledge and a deep understanding of the subject matter were often recognizable, leading to an intensive discussion about market opportunities, implementation, suitable marketing strategies, or target group potential that developed almost on its own!
Now, the evaluation by the jury, composed of all managing directors of the RWTÜV Group's subsidiaries, is still missing, so that proud winners can finally be presented. The countdown is on until November 23, 2023.
