The success story continues together: Early this week, RWTÜV GmbH signed an investment agreement with House of Plasma GmbH, developer of the unique multipole resonance probe measurement technology, which enables plasma diagnostics and quality optimization in industrial production processes.
In May 2022, House of Plasma had already won a startup prize initiated by RWTÜV to mark the company's 150th anniversary. With the prize money of €70,000, they were able to invest in market readiness and growth. Now, the collaboration is being formalized.
The multipole resonance probe metrology from House of Plasma, founded and managed by Dr. Moritz Oberberg, Maria Schnober, and Geoffrey Mellar, allows for a significant improvement in the quality of manufacturing processes for plasma surface treatments. Industrial applications include, for example, the surface treatment of solar cells, eyeglass lenses, optical lenses, PET bottles, and electronic devices.
The investment by RWTÜV GmbH is intended to enable further scaling: „We have been in contact with House of Plasma since our startup award and have enthusiastically observed their successful development. We believe in the team and the idea and now want to invest to pave the way for further growth,“ commented RWTÜV Managing Directors Fabian Fechner and Thomas Biedermann.
„RWTÜV stands for innovation as well as for safe and reliable high-tech. That suits us extremely well,” the House of Plasma team also rejoiced about the new partnership.
The multipole resonance probe was developed at Ruhr University Bochum and funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization, and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The EXIST program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, with funding from the European Social Fund, is also among the supporters.
