Dear readers,
This year, at the corporate headquarters, we are using the „summer break“ for the active and intensive processing of many exciting projects that we want to successfully bring to completion in these challenging times.
This is reflected in a wealth of topics in the July newsletter: a particularly successful internal innovation competition, summer parties and an anniversary, talent development – both internally and through our RWTÜV Foundation – as well as an inspiring example of social commitment.
We want to shape the coming half-year with excellence, energy, and commitment. We want to embrace all challenges and overcome them successfully.
The best is yet to come.
In this spirit, we wish you relaxing holidays or a productive time!
Your Thomas Biedermann and Dr. Fabian Fechner
Overwhelming

In 2025, the internal innovation competition was again held within the RWTÜV ranks. In 2025, it was held under the current strategic motto. MOVE AS ONE.
The response was overwhelming. The jury was faced with so many creative, thoughtful, and inspiring submissions that not just three, but eleven were honored. Seven alone share first place: In different ways, the proposals aim for more networking and knowledge exchange, so MOVE AS ONE in Reinform.
The jury especially values the success that this year's submissions truly came from all parts of the world. The network is growing together in Japan, England, the Netherlands, and Germany, and together they are refining the best solutions for the RWTÜV Group's customers.
Dr. Fabian Fechner and Thomas Biedermann emphasize: „We are thrilled by this commitment from the global RWTÜV family. We thank all employees, the organizing team, as well as all idea generators, who have made this year's innovation competition such a success!“
Practical

Networking, learning from each other, and shaping the future together. This motto also characterized the second run of the YPS – Young Professional Summit. Fifteen participants met, sent by the RWTÜV subsidiaries cetecom advanced, Enoplan, Enometrik, Ingenieurbüro Nordhorn, Van Ameyde Deutschland, and CONSULECTRA.
The program included exciting content on strategy, innovation, change, communication, and „Profile Dynamics.” In mixed, cross-company groups, the Young Professionals developed the idea for the pitch: based on three practical case studies, business proposals were prepared up to the final presentation. Of course, all under the premise: move AS ONE.
The venue for the second group was Cologne, which provided a diverse backdrop for workshops and informal exchange. This was facilitated particularly during a convivial fireside chat and the concluding evening at the Haxenhaus, as well as during the entertaining guided tour through Cologne's Old Town, led by Thomas Biedermann.
Note: There are still spots available for the next YPS. Please inquire with your managers about the application process!
Summery

The RWTÜV Group has kicked off the „summer festival season.” Enoplan, CONSULECTRA, and the Nordhorn Engineering Office were the first to start.
The staff of Enoplan visited the KSC Wildpark Stadium in Karlsruhe. The informal get-together, to which the executive management Thomas Biedermann and Dr. Fabian Fechner were also invited, was centered around the theme of „sustainability.” First, the company's sustainability team, „Enogreen,“ reported to colleagues on the status of their projects; afterward, they drew inspiration from similar activities of Karlsruher SC, which run under the name „KSC TUT GUT” (KSC DOES GOOD).
A guided tour of the entire Wildparkstadion—the centerpiece of a complex comprising several sports and training fields, a tennis facility, and other sports venues in Karlsruhe’s Hardtwald—was a must. Finally, the afternoon came to a close with a group meal in true stadium style, accompanied by casual conversation.
The summer festival of CONSULECTRA This year's theme was „Holistic Projects.” Around 40 colleagues traveled to the external meeting and met on June 26, 2025, in the new office space at the Düsseldorf location.
Following interesting presentations and a lively strategy discussion, the evening concluded with a shared meal and celebration at the SCHILLINGS restaurant in the Schauspielhaus. The following day, the CONSULECTRA team visited the construction project at the Rheinbahn depot in Düsseldorf-Heerdt to learn about the charging and grid infrastructure installed there. The bus storage hall, which was destroyed in a fire in 2021, is now one of the region's most modern bus depots, covering approximately 5,000 square kilometers and featuring its own power generation. CONSULECTRA's Düsseldorf branch, SUN, was responsible for planning the charging infrastructure for the bus station. After a lunch in Düsseldorf's Old Town, the colleagues returned home well-informed.
Honored

At the summer party hosted by Ingenieurbüro Nordhorn, the company honored a piece of its history: Klaus Nordhorn, managing director of the RWTÜV subsidiary, celebrated 30 years of passion, leadership, and success. Employees from all branches in Berlin, Münster, Munich, and Hamburg, as well as Group Managing Directors Thomas Biedermann and Dr. Fabian Fechner, had traveled to the capital to celebrate this special day together with the honoree.
During the day, a varied program—including construction site visits—was on the agenda: At IB Nordhorn’s flagship projects, such as the Komische Oper Berlin and Berlin Tegel Airport, participants were able to experience firsthand the latest milestones in the company’s work—innovative and expert planning in building services engineering. At the Komische Oper—a unique cultural venue in the heart of Berlin—IB Nordhorn is, for example, contributing to the renovation, modernization, and expansion. The historic building complex, comprising structures dating from 1890 to 1980, is being carefully upgraded, while a new building with offices and rehearsal spaces is being constructed alongside it. The goal: to preserve the building’s unique atmosphere while integrating state-of-the-art technology. Ingenieurbüro Nordhorn is responsible for the complete technical planning here: from heating, ventilation, and cooling to electrical systems, sprinkler systems, conveyor systems, and building automation.
Things got emotional that evening when the branch managers—David Hagelschuer from Munich, Till Pauls from Berlin, and Max Driessen from Hamburg—spoke highly of the company founder’s achievements. They highlighted his skills and expertise and emphasized how mutual respect and collaboration as equals have shaped the company in recent years. Afterward, all employees presented him with a lovingly designed book featuring photos and texts, along with two „fine wines”—a thirty-year-old red and a white wine of the same age.
The unique Berlin PlaceOne Panorama Bar not only offered a worthy backdrop but also a diverse selection of food from the grill and salad bar. Intensive networking took place in lively conversations; the thoroughly successful day, full of emotions and beautiful memories, concluded with music and dancing.
Exemplary

Anja-Kathrin Kampert is an expert in building automation at RWTÜV subsidiary MN Mörbitz | Nordhorn Ingenieure. However, she is not only highly skilled; she is also actively involved in volunteer work: Since 2018, she has been an active member of Engineers Without Borders, where she handles fundraising and public relations for the Leipzig regional group.
To mark World Water Day on March 22, Engineers Without Borders organizes the #Run4Water campaign every year. Members and supporters run, bike, skate, walk, or hike as many kilometers as possible during a specified period (2025: May 1 through May 31) to encourage donors—whether individuals or companies—to support the cause.
Anja-Kathrin Kampert explains: „Engineers Without Borders e.V. is a nonprofit and independent development cooperation organization. Together with local partner organizations, we support people in the Global South through technical cooperation. Our work focuses on establishing basic access to water, electricity, and sanitation, as well as on building and expanding educational facilities. We are organized into 29 regional groups across Germany, all of which are always happy to welcome new members!”
Together with her Leipzig regional group, our colleague logged 820.5 km this year. That was reason enough for MN Ingenieure to make a donation of 1,000 euros to the #Run4Water campaign.
Completed

The ewa – eurobits women academy, funded by RWTÜV Stiftung, reports on the second group of women who have completed their one-year, part-time cybersecurity training.
As part of this research project, women from a wide variety of job profiles and with different educational backgrounds tested a modular continuing education program on cybersecurity, IT, and information security—a program that explicitly addresses the needs of career changers through a combination of self-study materials, online seminars, internship phases, and in-person workshops and is explicitly tailored to the needs of women changing careers.
On June 23, the participants took a written exam; on July 5, they gave a presentation at the eurobits office in the Center for IT Security in Bochum, individual example cases before the expert jury led by IT, cybersecurity, and corporate security expert and German Digital Advisor Nadine Nagel, Birgitte Baardseth (Board Member of istis – International School of IT Security AG) and Dr. Reiner Baumgart (e.g., CEO of Secunet Security Networks AG, lecturer at the University of Siegen, and co-founder of eleQtron)). On September 3, 2025, the graduates will be bid farewell by Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy (MWIKE) of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, alongside RWTÜV, the second major sponsor of the ewa program.
