Dear readers,
This month we were on the road in Barcelona at Van Ameyde and in the USA with colleagues from cetecom advanced. Despite the difficult global economic situation, we were able to plan expansions confidently at both locations.
Van Ameyde is also shaping the future entrepreneurially in Cologne by establishing a new unit for Training & Development. Participation in Girls‘ Day is an investment in the future at the earliest possible stage; IB N and cetecom advanced both draw a positive conclusion.
Last but not least, Enoplan kicked off the RWTÜV Group's summer festival season. With a freshly launched new logo, a new website, and following the completion of changes to its service offerings AND the renovation of its existing building, the celebration was carefree!

Perspective

Experiencing it from the inside offers different insights than viewing it from the outside. With this in mind, the visit to the US to see the cetecom advanced colleagues in Milpitas was a personal priority for RWTÜV Managing Directors Thomas Biedermann and Fabian Fechner. The last personal exchange had been about a year and a half ago and a company merger. Therefore, together with cetecom advanced Managing Director Andreas Ehre, they headed to Silicon Valley at the beginning of May.
There was plenty to talk about: inspiring visits to neighbors Apple and Google, combined with the market situation in the US, provided the informational background. The main topic, however, was strategic considerations for the development of new services. The German visitors also considered the general town hall meeting with all American colleagues to be particularly important for gauging the mood among the employees.
The successful business trip was rounded off with a dinner with the management. „The atmosphere was very collegial and positive. Together with the US team, we expect good business development,” summarizes Fabian Fechner, reflecting on the impressions.
Expansion

A stopover in Barcelona was on the agenda on the way to the USA. Thomas Biedermann and Fabian Fechner, together with Piet Middelkoop, CEO of Van Ameyde International, visited Frank Verschuur, Head of the Southern Europe Region. This region is to be expanded, and consequently, alongside the current business development, strategic components of this planned expansion were the focus of the exchange. Also discussed was the shared service center approach for the entire region. Barcelona, with its great flair, culture, and quality of life, acts as a magnet for well-trained and multilingual employees with potential, thus providing a real locational advantage.
Development

Van Ameyde is also strengthening its expertise in Germany. Since February 1, 2024, Jennifer Krumbein has been building up the Training & Development department at the Cologne location. Together with the other project managers at the branch, the specialist in initial and further training is designing training modules for the most diverse areas and levels of the international service provider for the insurance industry.
Together with the specialist departments, existing work processes and quality standards are defined. In the resulting learning management system with targeted training and workshops, alongside technical skills, the development of decision-making competencies as well as training in communication and social skills will play an important role. Thomas Biedermann comments on the establishment of the specialist department: „For RWTÜV Group as a service provider, good and targeted further training is essential. We therefore support Van Ameyde in this task with all our might.“
Offspring

The RWTÜV subsidiaries IB N and cetecom advanced used this year's nationwide Girls‘ Day to give potential future employees exciting insights into their companies.
Four interested girls between the ages of 12 and 15 visited the Nordhorn engineering firm in Münster on April 25, 2024. After a tour of the office, they learned about the apprenticeship professions of „Technical System Planner for Building Services and Equipment Technology or Electrical Systems,“ as well as the „Building Services Engineering“ degree program. They also got an insight into the daily professional and working life of an engineering firm for technical building services. The girls were able to clarify their questions during a shared lunch with the entire team from Münster. In the feedback discussion at the end, there were many positive responses before the students were bid farewell with a small gift. „Perhaps we'll see one or the other again after their school careers are over? We would be happy if we have sparked their interest in our exciting professions with this day!” concludes Anna Brandt, who organized the Girls’ Day for IBN.
At cetecom advanced, twelve girls got a taste of the world of testing and certification. In the Essen laboratory, they jointly conducted EMC tests on self-assembled electronics kits, while in Saarbrücken, the topic of biometrics in fingerprint and facial recognition was on the agenda. „We were absolutely thrilled by the eagerness to learn and the enthusiasm of the girls present. We will definitely repeat this next year to inspire more women to enter the world of technology in our professions!“ says Nadine Gatz, Head of Assistance at cetecom advanced.
Reward

Bright sunshine, culminating in a picturesque sunset, provided the perfect backdrop for the Enoplan event on Thursday, May 16th. The summer town hall meeting for all employees, which kicked off a joint summer festival, was masterfully complemented by a vineyard tour, a presentation on the winemaking profession, and a subsequent wine tasting. The host was the Klenert winery in Kraichtal, which has been Ecovin-certified organic since 2019 and is dedicated to ecological cultivation and regenerative agriculture.
The colleagues from Enoplan took stock of the past few months in a joint meeting, planned for the coming ones, and then celebrated the successful conclusion of the extensive change process that had been pursued with dedication and great success in recent weeks and months. Fabian Fechner and Thomas Biedermann were also guests: „Enoplan has thoroughly done its homework in the rapidly changing energy market. Together, we look optimistically and motivated into the future!” congratulated both on behalf of Enoplan CEO Ralf Schade and his staff.
