Dear readers,

Since this year's slogan for the RWTÜV Group and our strategy is "move AS ONE," it's hardly surprising that the focus continues to be on how we can form teams as successfully as possible to be prepared for all challenges.

In a playful manner, but hopefully with serious results, employees of the corporation are once again encouraged to do so in the annual internal innovation competition.

The review of the leadership training also focused heavily on successful teamwork. The first summer party of the season finally demanded good hand-eye coordination and, overall, the good cooperation of all body parts – also a form of move AS ONE!

move AS ONE, the strategy issued by the RWTÜV Group since the beginning of the year, is working in many ways. For example, also in the sense of „think AS ONE“ or „plan AS ONE.“ This worked from the very beginning with RWTÜV's investment in is – innovation service network from Graz. 

In collaboration with isn, the RWTÜV intranet, the RWTÜV Campus exchange platform, and the joint innovation platform, through which internal innovation competitions have been successfully held within the RWTÜV Group for several years, were created.

In 2025, RWTÜV's internal innovation competition will offer even more prize money and will naturally be held under the motto "move AS ONE.". 

For the innovation proposals to be submitted in 2025, there are no content requirements imposed. Instead, the crucial factor this year is that a team stands behind the innovation proposal together. To promote the formation of cross-subsidiary teams, short profiles of all RWTÜV subsidiaries were published on the intranet. These profiles were intended to give all colleagues a clear overview of the areas of responsibility and service offerings of the other „group siblings“ once again. 

From May 12, 2025, to June 23, 2025, employees of all group companies can submit their proposals on the innovation platform. The winners will be determined at the end of the submission phase through a community vote and a jury decision. Financial grants for team events are being awarded. 

Concurrent with the launch of the innovation competition, the corporate headquarters also 
Team UP! Challenge launched. The „most active society“ will be sought between May 12, 2025, and December 1, 2025. Points collected in the intranet for all user activities such as commenting, submitting ideas, networking, and likes will be added in the spirit of move AS ONE, made comparable using an employee key, and in the end, the subsidiary with the most active employees on the intranet will win an additional prize. Group B of the RWTÜV F2 leadership training also met for a follow-up at the Marriott Hotel in Bonn. Together, achievements were reviewed in order to continue growing.

On May 5th and 6th, Thomas Biedermann, Dr. Fabian Fechner, and RWTÜV HR Business Partner Natascha Winter welcomed the twelve participants to recap the content from previous months, supported by Wibke Schindler from the agency KLAR & QUIRLIG. 

In short presentations by the participants on Monday, topics included questions such as what has already changed in the daily work of managers, which models from the training have been particularly helpful, or in which areas further development is needed. Certificates were awarded in the evening, followed by a pleasant conclusion at the hotel restaurant.

Tuesday began with Wibke Schindler offering a brief insight into the topic of „Change,” before questions on self-management, focus, leadership circles, and implementing change were addressed at four stations in a „Leadership World Café format.”. 

Before the adoption, Thomas Biedermann framed the exchange within the current corporate strategy move AS ONE and emphasized the importance of intensive collaboration and fruitful exchange among the group companies for the success of the entire group.

Hole-in-one

The RWTÜV team from the corporate headquarters kicked off the summer party season in the group with a trip to the Golf Club Essen-Heidhausen e.V. On the agenda was an introductory golf course in the green with experienced – and patient – golf instructors. Raffael Schöning and Phil McCaulley. In the driving range and on the putting green, they provided exciting insights into the basics of golf.

Equipped with rackets, balls, and good cheer, those present ventured their first swings. It turned out that there was everything from natural talent to hopeless cases to pros! 

Afterwards, there was a cheerful feast in the clubhouse. A day with the motto „Enjoy AS ONE!“
