Work on yourself

Dear readers,

The call for lifelong learning is as valid as it is well-known. Especially in challenging times, it can't hurt to remember this. Constantly reviewing one's own knowledge and expanding skills and expertise is, of course, work. However, in the end, not only the employer or the organization to which one belongs benefits, but each and every individual. Even if one is not in a position of responsibility.

In the idea competition, we are refining the product portfolio. Read about this first. Then: cetecom advanced is committed to training experts. Finally, our internal training program for innovation managers doesn't last a lifetime, but three months. We will inform you about the content of the first online session.

Learning, knowledge exchange, and continuing education, especially in times of crisis, were also on the agenda of Van Ameyde's Management Leadership Event. Our review of this event is also in this newsletter.

That AI can take over our thinking in some areas, but not our learning, could be the takeaway from the next Innovation Talk No. 14, which is about tools and trends for boundless creativity. You can still register; the link can be found below.

Best regards,
Your Thomas Biedermann and Dr. Fabian Fechner

Resourceful

At the halfway point of the current ideas competition, the Campus-Team invited to a feedback session early October. Questions were clarified, focus sharpened, and further inspiration provided.

Over 110 participants discussed the progress of the competition with those responsible and the corporate management during the team event.

RWTÜV CEO Thomas Biedermann comments: „Not only the well-thought-out and partly well-developed ideas submitted so far, but also the lively participation in the halftime event show how much the task and format have struck a nerve. It's about topics that are moving and offer a lot of potential. The question is how we can expand or bundle our competencies to play a role in safety, sustainability, or infrastructure investments. We want to develop services from within the RWTÜV Group and then bring them to market together, in the spirit of move AS ONE. Thank you for your commitment already, and keep up the great work!“

Understood

RWTÜV subsidiary cetecom advanced is entering the market with a new service offering: the webinar series „Fundamentals of Market Approval for Radio Equipment.“.

In the last quarter of 2025, cetecom advanced experts will offer a four-part training course focusing on practical, fundamental knowledge for certifying radio devices for global markets. The target audience includes engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, product managers, and startups. At the end of the four thematically coordinated sessions, which will be held in both German and English versions, the regulatory path to market will be clearly outlined.

Participants of all four webinars on the introduction to fundamentals, FCC, IC, and MIC certification, international type approvals, and an introduction to CERT can take a test upon completion and earn a certificate of fundamental knowledge in radio technology certification.

Skilled

On September 1, 2025, 18 colleagues from the group, from Enoplan, Enometrik, Van Ameyde Cologne, cetecom advanced, RWTÜV GmbH, and TÜV Thüringen, began a three-month strategic innovation management training. The instructors also come from the RWTÜV Group: innovation expert Reinhard Willfort and his colleague Victoria Wallner. The curriculum covers creativity methods for workshops and innovation process management.

The first online meeting in October kicked off with challenging questions about integrating AI into the innovation process. How can well-designed prompts, for example, in customer surveys and their analysis, shorten the path to a more mature MVP (Minimum Viable Product), i.e., an initial minimal version of a new product offering? What benefits does the development and visualization of an ideal customer persona provide? Which work steps can be optimized by AI in video shoots or photo shoots?

RWTÜV colleague Anika Corte is participating in the internal training. She reports: „There are so many possibilities that AI opens up for us, especially in the multifaceted and also multi-stage innovation process! But we also exchanged ideas on the data protection aspects that must be considered from the very beginning, as well as on the limitations when using AI tools.“

Varied

At the leadership meeting in Sorrento, Italy, 35 international leaders from the Property, Marine, and Motor Claims departments, along with the supervisory board members of RWTÜV subsidiary Van Ameyde, came together.

The two-day event provided space for intensive exchange and strategic planning. Thomas Biedermann and Dr. Fabian Fechner presented the group's current strategy and other corporate issues to those present. Business games on strategy, planning, negotiation, and crisis management in challenging times provided the framework for a second, varied day in Sorrento. Dr. Fechner summarized: „We have again taken good, new impulses and contacts home with us and have the feeling that cooperation will become more intensive and the network will become stronger!“
