Sehr geehrte Leserinnen und Leser,
We have the feeling that our new Group strategy move AS ONE is picking up speed! Many very good ideas and approaches have been submitted in the internal innovation competition, which shows us that the topic is not only understood, but is also being received. And, above all, it seems to be inspiring. We are seeing a stimulation of the internal discussions and an intensification ot the exchange between you in the subsidiaries. That was exactly our intention, and that is why we are very pleased with this dynamic, which we want to take up and promote further. We are therefore eagerly awaiting the evaluation of the submissions to the internal innovation competition – the next item on the agenda.
We were able to put a tick under the heading “Annual Reports 2024”. We look forward to being able to inform you about the development of the RWTÜV Group and its subsidiaries in a hopefully appealing and varied way, despite all the content and formal requirements. We have also summarized the most important facts for you in the video.
We will continue to refrain from commenting on world events at this point. Just this much: we continue to focus on safety, reliability, transparency, diversity and good cooperation. move AS ONE.

The topic of AI is high on the agenda at RWTÜV Group headquarters. At the end of May, a workshop was held for all employees in collaboration with the associated company isn – innovation service now. First, the speakers Reinhard Willfort, Managing Director of isn, and Simon Zanon from Localmind in Austria gave a general market overview of current AI models. This was followed by practical work with various AI tools and a “Localmind Cockpit Live Session”. In the subsequent round of brain storming, the colleagues looked for application ideas for the specialist departments and developed a scope for the respective implementation. Thomas Biedermann summarizes: "We all benefited enormously from the informative day and now feel much more confident in dealing with AI. Our conviction that AI can be an extremely helpful tool in everyday working life was confirmed and we were able to completely dispel any remaining skepticism that one or two of us still had. We can only recommend this workshop with isn or similar to everyone involved in the network."

The internal innovation competition had not yet been completed when one of the ideas submitted was implemented at record-breaking speed on the initiative of Enoplan Managing Director Tim Geisert: At the first “move2gether Day”, Aylin Holzer from Enoplan visited the Van Ameyde Group in Cologne to spend a day exchanging ideas with colleagues from another company in the RWTÜV Group with similar job profiles.
Just as the Group Strategy 2030 has the motto moveASONE, the ideas submitted in the competition should also contribute to the same goal: How can additional success be achieved through joint activities between subsidiaries? Where is there synergy potential, where everyone benefit from each other? Van Ameyde and Enoplan were inspired and organized the first move2getherDay. Aylin Holzer visited the Van Ameyde Administration & Services team and discussed tools, digital processes and clever automation with Yvonne Otto, Ali Uzun and Birte Wendler.
Aylin Holzer sums up: "I gained practical insights into correspondence processing at Van Ameyde and was able to benefit enormously from this direct transfer of knowledge across departmental and company boundaries. Afterwards, there was a speed dating session through other specialist departments to gain further impressions of everyday working life. I'm looking forward to a return visit hopefully soon and can highly recommend the format!"

Six trainees from TÜV NORD Systems – Air Conditioning Technology Division also experienced a practical exchange. At the RWTÜV Group headquarters, the prospective test experts carried out simulations for tests required by building regulations (e.g. on ventilation systems, pressure ventilation systems, CO warning systems, smoke extraction systems and extinguishing systems), which they need for their final examination to obtain their certification. They were accompanied by their trainer Dirk Malessa, graduate engineer and test expert in accordance with PrüfVO NRW.
The aim of the tests is to ensure that all systems are operationally safe and effective and meet the building law and technical requirements for proper functioning, and in particular for fire and smoke protection. The RWTÜV building and the underground parking garage provided ample opportunities for simulations under realistic conditions for practical testing.
RWTÜV Managing Director, Dr. Fabian Fechner, keeps count: "Every year, we are delighted to welcome our colleagues from TÜV NORD to our RWTÜV headquarters. We have been making ourselves available as a test object for eight years now. This is move AS ONE in action, also with TÜV NORD!"
Training at TÜV NORD Systems is demanding, interesting and varied – as is the later work as a test expert. To be admitted to the test expert examination, candidates must have a suitable bachelor's / diploma degree and at least five years of professional experience. After passing the written examination, the next step is the oral examination before the Brandenburg Chamber of Engineers (BBIK). The examination is divided into two parts: a 45-minute document examination (e.g. building permit, fire protection concept) and a 60-minute practical examination.
