Dear Readers,
The first half of 2025 was marked by the election campaign in Germany, uncertainties in many sectors of the economy, tariff disputes, and, last but not least, wars around the world. This naturally also had consequences for the RWTÜV Group. Increasing competitive pressure, volatile order levels, and stagnating, sometimes declining sales are causing us just as much concern as the growing need to adapt to the integration and use of AI in proven processes. The challenging situations show no sign of abating at present.
But let's try to turn these challenges into opportunities. Our motto for the second half of the year will be: “Roll up your sleeves!” – together, of course, in the spirit of move AS ONE.
- We will initiate an active change management process and fight for new customers, the best specialists, new services, new industries, new ideas, and innovations.
- We will continue to intensify our efforts in the training and further education of our employees in order to prepare them for the challenges ahead, to promote their excellence, and to develop them into innovators in their areas of expertise.
- We will further sharpen our brand presence and profiles in order to be more visible, distinctive, and in demand on the market.
- We will focus our upcoming innovation competition on participating in the modernization of security, sovereignty, infrastructure, and climate protection in our country with the competent and targeted services of our subsidiaries, thereby benefiting from the special funds that have been announced.
If we understand the crisis as challenging disruptions that enable collective transformation and pave the way for structural change, if we find exciting narratives that lead to positive visions of the future, we can grow together.
And you know what? We believe in it and are looking forward to it. Because we have confidence in the expertise of our group and the abilities of our employees.

At the beginning of August, a ProfileDynamics® training course was held in Cologne, followed by certification for colleagues with HR responsibilities. The goal: to prepare them all to conduct motivation analyses with employees, providing real leverage for leadership, development, and collaboration.
Together with Wibke Schindler from Klar & Quirlig, other exciting topics were also covered in depth: AI in the HR context, personnel cost planning, HR for decision-makers, and the use of HR systems.
The participating colleagues from cetecom advanced, Ingenieurbüro Nordhorn GmbH & Co. KG, Enoplan GmbH, apro.gmbh, RWTÜV, and Van Ameyde Group Germany reported an intensive and enriching exchange, filling move AS ONE with life.

Our colleague Marcel Hellingrath from the RWTÜV Group headquarters has added a successfully completed exam to become a certified sustainability manager (TÜV) to his CV, thereby acquiring unbeatable expertise for the future.
Dr. Fabian Fechner and Thomas Biedermann are proud of his commitment: "Our heartfelt congratulations! Customers demand transparency, investors expect ESG data, and legislators are creating the framework conditions with CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and LKSG (Supply Chain Due Diligence Act)."

There is also positive news to report about the RWTÜV Group's first dual apprentice, Jana Riedel. She began her first year of training in August 2023 to complete her apprenticeship as an office management assistant in combination with a bachelor's degree in business administration at the state-recognized University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management, FOM, headquartered in Essen.
At university, she studied the theory, while at Kronprinzenstraße she gained practical experience of commercial processes in purchasing, logistics, marketing and sales, human resources, administration, secretarial work, and event management. During a period at RWTÜV subsidiary cetecom advanced, she was able to familiarize herself with the areas of project management and customer relationship processes.
Jana Riedel has now completed her practical training, but her studies will continue for another year. RWTÜV has offered her a follow-up position and is pleased to be able to keep her on the team.

The starting signal for the next internal innovation competition at RWTÜV will be given at the beginning of September under the motto “Infrastructure and Security – Smart Innovation for a safer tomorrow.”
All employees of the RWTÜV Group are invited to shape the future together and, above all, to rethink the topics of infrastructure and security in the context of RWTÜV's services.
The focus is on finding ideas that have the potential for external funding through national and international programs that focus on promoting the development of infrastructure, digitalization, civil protection, or military security.
What services can the RWTÜV Group develop to qualify for government-funded programs? What innovative expertise can we offer in the field of security and infrastructure that is suitable for an eligible range of services with which the RWTÜV Group can position itself on the market?
Dr. Fabian Fechner explains: "Whether new processes, new technologies, new networks, or new ways of thinking – we want to hear your ideas! We are looking for approaches that will help our group of companies to strategically shape infrastructure and security as key issues for the future.
