"Diversität leben - eigentlich ist das für uns alle Alltag. Aber diese Diversität wollen und müssen wir auch im Arbeitsleben noch konsequenter abbilden. Davon profitieren wir, Diversität ist heute Grundvoraussetzung für Erfolg!" Das Statement kommt von Herzen. Sehen Sie selbst!
Dear Readers,
In this issue, we would like to pay tribute to a company from the Enoplan Group with an in-depth interview. It has grown from three to thirty employees in fifteen years thanks to its uncompromising commitment to quality. Enometrik GmbH can look back with pride on its impressive development over the last 15 years.
We also report on productive meetings: the managing directors of the RWTÜV Group met in Saarbrücken for an exchange of ideas and strategic planning; young talents and managers participated in the third round of our HR development program, the Young Professional Summit YPS, in Bonn.
In addition, we are delighted about another award for Van Ameyde and the enthusiasm for experimentation shown by young researchers. Last but not least, we want to challenge you with our Christmas quiz!
We wish you a good start to the Advent season.
Yours sincerely, Thomas Biedermann and Dr. Fabian Fechner
Enoplan subsidiary Enometrik GmbH has reached an important milestone: the company has grown to 30 employees. This prompted a conversation with managing directors Johannes Fast and Ralf Schade about growth, quality, and the future as a top service provider.
Congratulations on reaching the 30-employee mark! Mr. Fast, you started in 2010 with three employees. How does it feel to look back on this growth now?
Johannes Fast: Thank you! It's an incredibly proud moment.
Mr. Stuckys and I started work on January 1, 2010, and our colleague Ms. Clemens joined us on February 1. Although the company was formally registered in 2009, we employees started in 2010.
When we started out with three people and focused on metering point operation, I could hardly have imagined that today we would have a team of 30 dedicated employees. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but every single step has been worth it. We have continuously developed—from a pure electricity metering point operator to a full-service provider for energy metering.
So the range of services has expanded significantly. What was the key to this success?
Johannes Fast: The decisive difference in quality compared to the competition was and is that we always work with our own technicians. That has been our philosophy from the very beginning. While other companies rely on subcontractors, we have deliberately invested in our own team. This guarantees consistently high quality, short communication channels, and direct accountability. Today, we are the top quality service provider for complex measurement tasks – and we are particularly proud of that.
Mr. Schade, as the driving force behind the development and managing director of Enoplan GmbH, you were the link between these two companies. How did you experience this development?
Ralf Schade: It was fascinating to see how a vision became a real success story. As managing director of both Enometrik and Enoplan, I was able to make targeted use of the synergies between the two companies. The collaboration enabled us to work more efficiently and take bold steps. Johannes' passion and vision were always the driving force behind this – but without the entire team, we would not be where we are today.
You recently celebrated your 15th anniversary and accomplished impressive milestones – such as the 10,000th meter in January 2024, one of which was even installed on the Zugspitze. What do these achievements mean to you?
Johannes Fast: These milestones show that we are not only growing, but also implementing relevant projects. The meter on the Zugspitze is a great example of how diverse our work is. But even more important are the many analyses that have enabled our customers to optimize their energy consumption and save costs. That is the real added value we deliver.
Ralf Schade: And the expansion into gas metering in 2021 was a strategically important step. This has significantly expanded our portfolio and broadened our base. Such decisions require courage and confidence – and I am delighted that they have been so successful.
What specifically makes Enometrik a top-quality service provider?
Johannes Fast: It is a combination of several factors: our own highly qualified technicians, direct customer service, technical expertise, and the ability to reliably solve even complex metering tasks. We are not a mass provider, but specialize in demanding projects where precision and quality are crucial.
How important is the team to this success?
Ralf Schade: The team is everything. Every successful customer interaction, every milestone, every piece of positive feedback – these are the results of our employees' work. They are the face of Enometrik, and their diversity, commitment, and expertise make all the difference.
Johannes Fast: Definitely. We have people on our team who are passionate about what they do. These 30 employees are not just employees—they are experts who are proud of their work and who make Enometrik a little bit better every day.
What challenges did you face on the journey from start-up to established company?
Johannes Fast: The biggest challenge was definitely managing growth in such a way that our quality standards did not suffer. In order to grow from three to 30 employees, we had to create structures, adapt processes, and at the same time ensure that every new colleague understood and lived our values.
Ralf Schade: And, of course, finding the right talent. We're not just looking for skilled workers, but people who fit into our team and are willing to build something together with us. That takes time and patience, but it's worth it.
You mentioned the framework conditions. What role does RWTÜV GmbH play as a shareholder in both companies?
Johannes Fast: A crucial one! RWTÜV GmbH is a shareholder in both Enometrik GmbH and Enoplan GmbH, and that has given us the economic stability that is essential for such a development from the very beginning. As a result, we have always had the framework conditions to make bold decisions, invest in our team, and plan for the long term. This security behind us is priceless.
Ralf Schade: Absolutely. But it's not just about stability. RWTÜV GmbH actively encourages and promotes our further development. That's an important point: we are not only supported, but also continuously encouraged to remain innovative and break new ground. This combination of encouragement and challenge, alongside our own commitment, is an additional driving force that motivates us to perform at our best time and time again.
Let's look ahead: What are the goals for the next few years?
Johannes Fast: We want to further expand our position as a top-quality service provider for complex measurement tasks. This means that we will invest in new technologies, expand our portfolio, and, of course, continue to grow. But always with the aim of maintaining high quality.
Ralf Schade: The collaboration between Enometrik GmbH and Enoplan GmbH will continue to play a central role in this. Together we are stronger, and I am convinced that we will achieve many more milestones in the coming years.
A final word to your team?
Johannes Fast: Thank you to each and every one of you! You are the reason for our success. From three to 30 employees—we have achieved this together. I look forward to everything that is yet to come!
Ralf Schade: Thank you for your commitment, your loyalty, and your passion. Let's continue to work together to make Enometrik GmbH the best service provider in our industry.
This year's meeting of the managing directors of the RWTÜV Group took place at the end of October at the headquarters of cetecom advanced in Saarbrücken.
The meeting began with an informative tour of the site, during which Andreas Ehre and his colleagues provided exiting insights into topics such as radar, radio & EMC, smart cards, e-battery testing, SAR, international type approval, and many more.
The group then delved into an analysis of the economic situation. First, the first nine months of this challenging year 2025 were examined in detail in order to draw conclusions for planning the coming months and years. Discussions about change management, HR, AI, innovation management, and future orientation in rapidly changing markets in various industries dominated the rest of the day.
RWTÜV Managing Director Dr. Fabian Fechner sums up: “We were particularly impressed by the tour of the Saarbrücken site. But we would also like to express our sincere thanks to the dedicated organizing team, who ensured that everything ran smoothly. We were able to concentrate fully on our discussions, learning from each other, benefiting from each other's different experiences, and discovering new perspectives. Once again, the spirit of move AS ONE has strengthened us!”
In 2025, HR development at RWTÜV focused on identifying and training the next generation of ambitious managers. The YPS – Young Professional Summit gave the companies, their human resources management, and the group management the opportunity to search for special potential within their own ranks in order to promote it early and in a targeted manner. In three face-to-face meetings, where the topics of strategy, innovation, change processes, communication, and team dynamics were on the agenda, committed employees were given a forum to further their training, showcase themselves, and prove their worth.
In particular, they were challenged to demonstrate their aptitude as team leaders and skilled presenters. Working together – mostly on the basis of ideas from the internal RWTÜV innovation competition – teams of around five people developed a business case. They had to compare opportunity and risk analyses, develop an HR and communication strategy, and pitch the results to the group. The particular challenge here was that neither the team members nor the topics were known in advance. Everyone had to think on their feet, quickly master unfamiliar topics, and demonstrate flexibility.
Following sessions in April and July, the third YPS group, consisting of participants from Enoplan, Enometrik, Van Ameyde Germany, cetecom advanced, IB Nordhorn, and CONSULECTRA, traveled to Bonn from November 3 to 6, 2025. The Hotel Collegium Leonium, a former seminary including a church, provided a particularly inspiring setting for personal growth as well as internal networking within the group in a diverse mix of participants under the motto “move AS ONE.”
Natascha Winter assessed the program: "We are very satisfied with the insights and results in a wide variety of areas! The participants were able to learn an incredible amount. At the same time, from our position as observers, we saw many committed employees who are keen to play an active role in shaping the future, who are capable of strategic planning and developing innovations, and – last but not least – who are interested in internal cooperation within the group. Over the course of the coming year, we will be planning a continuation of this successful format."
Once again, the Van Ameyde Group in Germany has been awarded silver status in the EcoVadis rating. This sustainability rating places the company among the top 15% of the most sustainable companies that have undergone this assessment.
The criteria analyzed are based on international CSR standards such as the ten principles of the UN Global Compact and the conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO) . The German group was recognized for its performance in the areas of environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
Thomas Biedermann expressed his compliments: “Congratulations, Van Ameyde Germany! This award reflects that sustainability and corporate ethics are perceived and valued as integral parts of a corporate culture – and thus also contribute significantly to success.”
For students who are enthusiastic about technology, the LEGO® Mindstorms competition, known as RoboNight, is the highlight of the year. Since 2003, the Saarland University of Applied Sciences (htw) has been hosting this competition in its home state. Children and young people in grades 6 to 12 compete in teams and demonstrate their skills in designing and programming LEGO® Mindstorms robots.
RWTÜV subsidiary cetecom advanced donated €1,500 to inspire young people to take an interest in STEM subjects. “We need young talent who enjoy mechanical design or robot programming. This is the perfect environment for that,” said Marius Winzler, Head of Marketing at cetecom advanced, explaining the company's commitment.
On November 8, after several workshops and preliminary rounds, the ten best teams competed against each other in the final. They demonstrated a great deal of creativity, team spirit, and technical skill. In his welcoming speech, patron Wolfgang Förster, State Secretary in the Saarland Ministry of Finance and Science, praised the young talents and their teachers for their ingenuity and passion.
