Teams in Competition

Dear Readers,

As the motto for the RWTÜV Group this year and our strategy is move AS ONE, the focus continues to be – not surprisingly – on how we can set ourselves up as successfully as possible in teams in order to be equipped for all challenges.

In a playful way, but hopefully with serious results, the Group's employees are once again invited to do this in the annual internal innovation competition.

The management training review also focused a lot on successful teamwork. Finally, the first summer party of the season called for good hand-eye coordination and good cooperation between all parts of the body – also a form of move AS ONE!

With this in mind, have a good start to the summer,

Yours

Thomas Biedermann und Dr. Fabian Fechner

Double Pack

In 2025, the RWTÜV internal innovation competition will offer even more chances to win and will naturally be held under the motto move AS ONE.

In 2025, there are no specifications for the content of the innovation proposals to be submitted, but this year it is crucial that a team stands together behind the innovation submission. In order to promote the creation of cross-subsidiary teams, short portraits of all RWTÜV subsidiaries were published on the intranet to show all colleagues the areas of responsibility and services offered by the other “group siblings”.

From May 12, 2025 until June 23, 2025, employees of all Group companies can submit their suggestions on the innovation platform. The winners will be determined at the end of the submission phase in a community vote and by a jury decision. Financial grants for team events will be awarded.

To coincide with the launch of the innovation competition, Group headquarters has also launched the Team UP! Challenge. The “most active company” will be sought in the period between May 12, 2025 and December 1, 2025. The points collected on the intranet for all user activities such as commenting, submitting ideas, networking and likes will be added up in the spirit of move AS ONE, compared using an employee key and, at the end, the subsidiary with the most active employees on the intranet will win an additional prize. Good luck!

Group B of the RWTÜV F2 management training course also met for a follow-up at the Marriott Hotel in Bonn. Successes achieved were reviewed together in order to continue growing.

On May 5 and 6, Thomas Biedermann, Dr. Fabian Fechner and RWTÜV HR Business Partner Natascha Winter welcomed the twelve participants and, with the support of Wibke Schindler from the KLAR & QUIRLIG agency, recapitulated the content of the previous months.

In short presentations by the participants on Monday, the focus was on questions such as what has already changed in their day-to-day work as managers, which models from the training have been particularly helpful and in which areas there is a need for further development. Certificates were awarded in the evening, followed by an atmospheric finale in the hotel restaurant.

Tuesday was opened by Wibke Schindler with a brief insight into the topic of “Change”, before the “Leadership World Café Format” at four stations dealt with questions such as self-management, focus, leadership circle or the implementation of change.

Before saying goodbye, Thomas Biedermann placed the exchange in the context of the current Group strategy move AS ONE and emphasized the importance of intensive cooperation and fruitful exchange between the Group subsidiaries for the success of the entire Group.

Holed

The RWTÜV team from Group headquarters kicked off the Group's summer party season with a trip to the Essen-Heidhausen e.V. golf club. On the agenda was a golf taster course in the countryside with the experienced – and patient – golf instructors Raffael Schöning and Phil McCaulley. In the driving range and on the putting green, they gave exciting insights into the basics of golf.

Equipped with clubs, balls and good humor, the participants took their first swings. It turned out that everyone was there, from the naturally talented to the hopeless faller to the professional!

Afterwards, the guests feasted in the clubhouse. A day according to the motto “Enjoy AS ONE!”
