TÜV Thüringen e.V. is the third shareholder and has close links to the RWTÜV Group. Following German reunification, in 1990 RWTÜV helped to set up the new technical inspection association TÜV Thüringen e.V. in eastern Germany.
Based in Erfurt, TÜV Thüringen is now an internationally active service provider for technical installations and certifications. TÜV Thüringen e.V. has an equity interest in RWTÜV GmbH via Aktaios Verwaltungs-GmbH.
