Ingenieurbüro Nordhorn GmbH & Co. KG starts 2023 with major order

For RWTÜV subsidiary IB Nordhorn, the new year is off to a busy start: with a prestigious project that is part of the overarching development and operational concept as part of the reuse of Tegel Airport.

Under the motto "Tegel Airport is moving out, Berlin is moving in!", a research and industrial park for urban technologies called "The Urban Tech Republic", a new residential area called "Schumacher Quartier" and a landscape park are to be built on the 500 ha site by 2027.

IB Nordhorn won the tender for the planning of the technical building equipment TGA for a total of 27,000m² gross floor area (conference, office and service areas) for two central building sections, the old airport access road ("Loop") and Terminal Building B, which will house the "Forum" of the Urban Tech Republic.

Terminal Building B is at the focus of the entire area development, alongside the conversion of Terminal A/A2 by the Berlin University of Applied Sciences.
