After initially focusing - with great success - on the national companies when preparing our sustainability report in 2022, the time was right for our ESG team Ralf Weiermann and Olivia Grytzek to initiate the integration of the Van Ameyde Group (VAI) into the calculation of the CO2 footprint for the entire group.
Accompanied by our Managing Director Fabian Fechner, the two travelled to Rijswijk last week to lay down a successful plan and next steps for the RWTÜV Group's insurance services provider with Bob de Bruijn, Van Ameyde's CFO, Pascal Dijkens, Director Compliance, and Ingrid van Bommel (Drs. RA), Director of Finance.
Olivia Grytzek and Ralf Weiermann presented the domestic materiality analysis, which provides an overview of which factors need to be included in the calculation. The two also presented the practical procedure, in which RWTÜV subsidiary ENOPLAN takes over the calculation for the individual companies, to their Dutch colleagues, as well as individual measures for additional support of sustainability efforts such as JobRad, Ombudsman and Diversity Charter, etc.
VAI then impressed with a presentation on its own advanced status in terms of ESG and sustainability reporting: many measures are already being applied in the company and its own subsidiaries, suitable scopes and procedures have been defined. Some VAI subsidiaries have even been awarded silver or gold EcoVadis ratings (https://ecovadis.com/de/).
The successful meeting, which revealed many commonalities and a unanimous understanding of the path to be taken, came to a relaxed and delicious conclusion at De Wits in Rijswijk.
We have thus taken another big step towards the climate neutrality of our RWTÜV Group!
